Taegeuk Youk Jang

OK let's kick into taegeuk yuk jang.
  • Swivel 90' to your left into left front stance. As you turn do a left low block.
  • Do a right front kick and bring your leg back to land in back stance- (your right foot is behind your left) as you land do a left middle section outer forearm block.
  • Swivel 180'to to your right into right front stance. As you turn do a right low block.
  • Do a left front kick and bring your leg back to land in back stance- (your left foot is behind your right) as you land do a right middle section outer forearm block.
  • Step 90' to the left with your left foot into front stance. Do a right outer forearm knife hand block. (This feels a bit awkward as your body is a bit twisted at this point)
  • Do a right turning kick. This is usually taught as a traditional turning kick with the knee raised from behind and your toes pulled back. Land in riding stance before quickly stepping into left front stance. Do a left high section outer forearm block followed by a right mid section punch.
  • Do a right front kick to land in right front stance. As you land do a left mid section punch.
  • Swivel on your left foot, to turn 180' to your right into right front stance. Do a right high section outer forearm block followed by a left mid section punch.
  • Do a left front kick to land in left front stance. As you land do a right mid section punch.
  • Swivel on your right foot, turn 90 degrees to your left into ready stance. Do a high section X block moving slowly down into twin low block. Around 5 seconds is about right. We find these slow sections of taekwondo forms are a great chance breathe and focus.
  • Step forwards with your right foot into right front stance. Do a left outer forearm knife hand block.
  • Do a left turning kick (head section if you can) and key-up and land briefly in riding stance.
  • Swivel on you left foot 180' degrees to your right into right front stance. Do a right arm low block.
  • Do a left front kick and bring your leg back to land in back stance- (your left foot is behind your right) as you land do a right middle section outer forearm block.
  • Swivel 180' to your left into left front stance and do a left low block.
  • Do a right front kick and bring your leg back to land in back stance- (your right foot is behind your left) as you land do a left middle section outer forearm block.
  • Swivel on your left foot step your right foot back and 90' to your right into back stance. Do a left double knife-hand block.
  • Step back into back stance again. Do a right double knife-hand block.
  • Step back into left front stance. Do a left palm block followed by a right mid section punch.
  • Then step back into right front stance. Do a right palm block followed by a left mid section punch.
And that's it. There's no key-hup on the last move
